Lake Wylie offers kayak rentals, pontoon rentals, and stand-up paddleboard rentals through Lake Wylie Boat Rentals (NC side) and Tega Cay Marina (SC side). Public boat launches exist at McDowell Nature Preserve and Ebenezer Park. If you own your own boat, Long Cove Marina (14624 Rainbarrel Rd) is 8 minutes from The Palisades. Fishing requires a valid license for the state your boat is in — if you cross the midlake border, carry both NC and SC licenses.
